Strategic professionals are welcoming two new marketing interns over the summer in a move to give  students valuable real-world experience.

The business, which focuses on training and development for companies and individuals, is  giving its two marketing interns the opportunity to partake in a plethora of projects. These  projects include social media work as well as having the opportunity to be involved in  developing case studies for the business in addition to other aspects of marketing.

As the director, Sharon Southcott says, “We believe that offering a young person work  experience is one of the most valuable contributions we can make. Our Interns are offered a  chance to experience many different projects, they receive coaching from experienced  managers and get the opportunity to contribute their ideas. We hope that when they leave us  they have a better idea of their strengths, weaknesses and career goals and also can provide a  reference from working on live projects”.

With job markets being as competitive as they are currently employers want to see individuals  with practical knowledge alongside academic. Internship opportunities, such as the one  Strategic Professional are currently offering, are a keyway of bridging this gap.

Since Strategic Professional are offering coaching opportunities to their two interns alongside  the practical experience this gives the students a unique opportunity to begin to build  professional networks and have an insight into the ever-evolving marketing landscape.

Internships are becoming an increasing necessity for any young professional, traditional  education can only take you so far and through having this insight into the day-to-day of a  marketer Strategic Professionals two interns can take this experience on into the rest of their  degrees and future work. As a training and development business Strategic Professionals always  have people at the heart of their decisions and supporting students and new graduates is  another way of them supporting people’s progress.
